I was supposed to paste this yesterday, but yea, I was quite busy partying and drinking with my orgmates. So yea, here it goes. ♥

On December 26, 2003, five young boys debuted on BoA and Britney Spears’ Christmas showcase—aptly named asDong Bang Shin Ki and roughly translated as “The Rising Gods of the East”.

 

They sang “Oh Holy Night”, and their debut song, “Hug”.

 

They elicited little attraction from the then-unassuming crowd. But that did not deter them from working hard and developing their talent.

 

Fast forward to 2010.

 

4 Korean albums.

3 Korean concerts.

30 Japanese singles.

4 Japanese albums.

4 Japanese concerts.

2 Guinness World Record titles.

Numerous awards and citations.

Millions of fans around the world.

 

And these did not happen overnight.

 

Jung Yunho. Kim Jaejoong. Park Yoochun. Kim Junsu. Shim Changmin.

 

Problems came, but Cassiopeia remained on their side. Some may have left, but new ones came as well.

 

We dreamed, screamed, laughed, and cried with them.

We shared with them the joys of success and the pains of heartaches.

We have seen them at their best, and we promised to remain by their side at their worst.

We became their home, their defense, their confidants, and their family.

We believed in them—that one day, they will be together as five again.

 

It has been seven years..

 

..seven years since Kim Jaejoong allured us with his beautiful face and complex character.

..seven years since Jung Yunho amazed us with his slick dance moves and awesome leadership skills.

..seven years since Park Yoochun serenaded us with his sexy bedroom voice and charmed us with his heartwarming demeanor.

..seven years since Kim Junsu made us laugh with his eungkyangkyang  and tickled our funny bones with his aegyo and charisma.

..seven years since Shim Changmin started belting out high notes, bullied his hyungs, and got married to the refrigerator.

 

SEVEN YEARS OF KEEPING THE FAITH.

 

Five stars.

One sky.

They met by fate, and got intertwined by faith.

 

Cheers to seven years of friendship, music, and love.

 

The truly lived up to their name.

 

That’s the power of Dong Bang Shin Ki.

 

They wouldn’t be called the “gods” for nothing.
