Is there another word other than this one to describe my fandom?

More than being a fanclub supporting TVXQ5, I consider CassPH as my family. ♥ This org is behind some of my most beautiful memories ever.

I am totally in awe when in comes to CassPH's gatherings. It was my 2nd gathering with my UBE friends and can it get more awesome-mer? (is there even such a word?) I truly salute the CassPH core + volunteers for a job well done. You guys deserve all the praises. ^^

Me, Cherry, and JP spent the night at Leo's apartment so that we could go to Starmall together the next day. Prior to that sleepover, the guys of TVXQute and 5CL practiced for their performance. *_* I totally remember all the side gags we had in-between practices. It was a very fun night indeed. I miss pekpek already--don't laugh, it's Leo's lamb stuff toy which became my pillow the whole night--and don't even bother asking me where that name came from. You can ask Leo yourself. XD

We woke up---to turn off the alarm clock. HAHA ;)

We prepared our things before going to Starmall, and yes, we looked like travellers coz we had lots of bags to carry. *_* BTW, we were planning to sleep over at Leo's condo unit in Muntinlupa after the 8G. Anyway, there'll be a separate story for that one.

Leo's hand was sweating on our way to Starmall, I just patted him and said. "I know you could do it."

We arrived at Starmall at around 10am, and I could already feel the adrenaline rush of the excited Cassies. When the doors opened at 10:30am, everyone barged in. We were lucky enough to find nice seats in front--of course I should be at the front line when Leo and his gang performs Rising Sun. *_*

And then there were booths.. performances.. games.. everyone was quite busy strolling around, buying stuff. I was envious to death of those who brought home the TVXQ standees. Heard that most of the standees went to EDSA, ate at Jollibee, and even had a picture taken with a taxi driver. XD

Before their perf, I went up to Leo and said.. "Make these people go back to their seats." He smiled and said.. "I'll make you proud Ate Marj."

By the time everyone heard the phrase "RISE UPPPP~", everyone came running back to their seats. TVXQute and 5CL definitely gave a very powerful performance! It was full of passion and oozing with manliness---the fanchants and screams were deafening, and I myself was screaming at the top of my lungs when they started to perform. I was not wary of an impending sore throat, and good thing it did not come. XD Ate Kring (One of CassPH's founders and the host of the event) even praised them, saying that "it was just like watching TVXQ perform onstage". Proud noona manager is proud.

I was teary-eyed while watching, because this was Leo's dream eversince. As for myself, I was really happy because there was a group who performed the same song that first brought me to the TVXQ fandom way back in 2006. It's just so... fulfilling to see their efforts being paid off by applauses and screams from the fans. :)

Leo kept his promise to me. I was beyond proud that moment. ♥

I will forever be grateful to CassPH for giving my friends a chance to perform onstage as way of showing their love and support to TVXQ.

The thin line of division

I remember posting something last time about holding on to TVXQ.
Yes, I am still holding on.

But..

What if it's the ending of TVXQ?

The most important thing here is their happiness. Idol longevity is something that is uncertain.

Of course all of us are waiting patiently for them to reunite and stand on one stage as five again. I have been crying day and night while listening to their old songs because of the memories behind it. Their goofiness offcam and of course, their undeniable talent as a group is sorely missed. ><

But let's face facts here.

What will happen after the lawsuit?

If SME wins.. Will JYJ go back to them? That would be mockery of the lawsuit they filed.

If JYJ wins.. Will SME be willing enough to change their contracts to grant the clamor of fans for a unification of the five?

It's really good to be optimistic, but we also have to be realistic.

Honestly.. I really don't care what happens. It will even be an honor for me because...

I have stuck with them till the very end.

It's good to be back. Last week's holiday was great, although I was not able to get enough rest from all the activities that I did, I am still happy. ^^

Last Thursday, I was able to go with my choirmates to our annual Visita Iglesia. It was fun while it lasted. We marveled at the beauty of some churches around Manila and Makati (we went to 9 churches, I think.), and also, reflect and pray before the Blessed Sacrament. ^^

On Saturday, me and the rest of Team Hogwarts went to Leo's house aka The Burrow (Luxurious version) in Las Piñas. ^^ We also watched them practice for the upcoming 8G of CassPH on May 7. What they'll be dancing is still a secret. :D I am sooooo excited. *___________*

I think it's safe for me to say that among the fandoms today, being a Cassie is the most diffcult one. With all the brouhaha that is happening now, Cassies are the ones who are being compromised.

It's really heartbreaking to see your favorite group on the verge of disbandment, and yet you feel helpless. I have found myself in similar situations since the lawsuit started last 2009, and seeing them part ways as JYJ and HoMin really makes me sad. Watching them perform on different stages makes it difficult for me to somehow accept their current situation.

Honestly, there was a time that I felt so tired of the whole drama already that I just wanted to give up, but then, there is really something into them that would not allow me to do so. Whenever there were doubts around me, I would just look at their pictures together and say to myself---I will never leave you guys, this is the time that you needed me the most. *sniffs then sobs*

Monday sickness, please stay away from me.

I spent the weekend at Leo's place with some of my UBE friends -- Jeff aka the Unproductivity King, JP, and Gielyn. I was kinda expecting that we won't be going home until last night, but I wasn't able to bring some stuff with me. Err, I should have followed my instinct when I stared at my bag full of clothes last Saturday.

Anyway, just like every UBE, we had shitloads of fun during the weekend. We camwhored like hell using Leo's hats (LOL at the vagina hat WTF), did hilarious video parodies and dance tutorials (Rising Sun + Abracadabra + Genie + Choosey Lover remix is crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy), immersed ourselves in love songs (a first in UBE), watched a semi-Korean porn movie (MYGASSSSS it was Leo's fault), went to church together, and drank soju. :))))))))))))) No drunk people though. :D I wished everyone was there.

Jeff's unproductiveness is really contagious!!! We just laid down in the bed most of the time, and change positions every 5 minutes. XD Talk about sloth.

I am really loving this walking down memory lane stuff. ^^ It makes me reminisce of the good old days.

Before going gaga over TVXQ and the whole of the Korean culture, my major fandoms were American and British boybands.

Backsteet Boys, NSYNC, Westlife, Blue, 98 Degrees.

And then there was a1. I am making this extra special because they were my TVXQ back then ^^ I loved the other boybands that I mentioned, but a1 stood out among them all.

The year was 1999.
It was the boyband explosion era.

a1 (yes, it's a small a and a 1) is an Anglo-Norwegian boyband whose first single, "Be the First to Believe", was released in 1999. The band consists of Mark Read, Ben Adams and Christian Ingebrigtsen. The group's publicity mainly focuses on the fact that they write the majority of their own songs and the three band members also play their own instruments.

See? I go not for the looks but for the talent. What I loved most about a1 is their ability to compose songs and play musical instruments. (Okay TVXQ much)

My mom bought me a cassette tape (don't laugh, cassette tapes were the thing that time) of their 1st album called Here We Come. Seeing the cover itself without listening to the songs first made me ecstatic. I was in Grade 5 back then.

My first reaction: dfjkfjkdhfdkjfhdakafd WHO THE HELL IS THE 3RD GUY??? I was instantly smitten by Ben Adams upon seeing that picture. I went gaga over his mesmerizing eyes and heart-shaped face. It's safe to say that he's my bias there. I remember me and my bestfriend Kamille ogling over Ben for blah blah blah times.

And so I listened to their album. Unlike in CDs wherein you can easily jump in to the next track with just a click, cassette tapes were way difficult to handle. The fast forward and rewind buttons were my constant buddies then.

Heaven By Your Side is my all time favorite a1 song. The melody and the harmonization was great, there was no overlapping of voices, and lyrics are really romantic :) I also remember tuning in to a weekly countdown on our local radio and voting for this as the number one song. Too bad no MV was released for this song. NSYNC's This I Promise You was its greatest competitor back then. This song, together with TVXQ's On&On will be my wedding song. :)

Like A Rose, a song written by Ben Adams when he was 16 was also a staple in the charts alongside Everytime. It was the time wherein boybands gave OPM artists a run for their money.

And oh. This is Ben. :) Biased much. XD

Released on 2 February 2009, following Ben Adams' appearance on Celebrity Big Brother. The album was a commercial failure, following poor promotion and very low sales. It was announced via Ben Adam's Twitter account that the band plans to re-release the album at some point in the future, with the addition of any singles they release during that time. Sad. ><

Waiting for Daylight

Waiting for Daylight is the a1's fourth studio album. The album was released on 11 October 2010, and is the band's first new material in over eight years. Now that picture reminds me of TVXQ's Mirotic album version B.

By the time a1 released their compilation albums, I was already a TVXQ fan.

Although I don't spazz anymore on them like I used to 10 years ago, I still love them to death because of their excellent skills in singing and songwriting. :)))))

Anyway, I got my salary last week and I immediately went out with my friends. It was a very fun and awesome day! We played games at the arcade, ate Krispy Kreme Donuts, and spazzed like hell over lots of things. I could not even forget the time when me and my effervescent and funny friend Leo slept on the road ---- literally, because we were so dead-tired. ^^ Worse, the security guard approached us and said sleeping on the road is not allowed. XD

I'm really lucky to have these people as my friends. Seriously. *_*

Ever since the day the audio for TVXQ's new song Before U Go leaked out on the internet, I've been having this last song syndrome for it. ^^ It worsened when the 2 versions of the MVs came out--the shorter version came out last week, and the 16minute-long drama version came out yesterday. ^^

I have nothing but praises for the four actors in the MV--Yunho, Changmin, Go Ara, ang Choi Jong Yoon. (finally, I got to remember his name!!) Superb production and storyline is superb! Even though there was no subtitles, I was able to understand the scenarios in the MV ^^ Yunho and Ara relives their tandem in the vid, and yeahhhhh I was pretty giddy about it. They undoubtedly look good together *_* Yun Ji would also look suit Ara's role as well. (Okay forgive me, it's because I also ship Yunho x Yunji)

AND YES, I WILL ALWAYS DEMAND THAT THIS MUST BE MADE TO A FULL-LENGTH DRAMA OR MOVIE.

From my own POV, I think HoMin's being spoiled to death by SME. Honestly, I have not seen any SME artist with three teasers (KYHD) and a 16-minute long MV with superb production (BUG).

Yunjae fans irked me again last night. Err, they're really getting to my nerves. I keep on receiving messages from Yunjae fans who are so bitter about Ara being paired up with Yunho. Of course, they ONLY want Jaejoong to be the one paired with Yunho. WTF??!! They're not only illogical, but also DELUSIONAL. >< IDC if Yunjae's the untouchable couple in TVXQ, but HEY, what about respect???!! /fuming with anger

It has been a week since I last posted my journal entry, and again, blame it on my failure to go online. XD

AND YES. AFTER FOUR MONTHS OF BEING A BUM, I'm back on my feet again to work. Thank you so much to my dear friend Dianne for accompanying me to their office. I applied last March 3, and my training started last March 14. ^^

Speaking of training, I have to say that it was one of the best trainings I've ever been into. I met 4 people with very distinct qualities, yet, when joined together, becomes the noisiest group in the office. Maria, Miku, Kat, and Daisy are a bunch of people full of life--yet, each has a story to tell behind all the laughter. *sniffs* It has only been five days since we all met each other, but it seems like we have known each other forever. Ms. Lyn, our trainer was also quite surprised to see how the five of us jive together. ^^

Too bad that we will be divided soon because we have different shifts--me and Maria will work at the AM shift, while Kat, Miku, and Daisy will be working for the PM shift. But yeah, we promised to still meet each other when we have the time--on weekends, perhaps.

Being an English teacher to Koreans is something that I've really wanted to try out ever since the day I got inclined to the Korean culture--and now I am living the dream. Actually, more than the monetary benefit, I can also spazz with some of my students (like those in my previous work) about TVXQ. That's hitting two birds with one stone.^^

So everyone's ovaries exploded AGAIN upon the release of TVXQ's new song, Before U Go. It is an RnB-ish type of song which displays the amazing vocal qualities of Yunho and Changmin. Man, this song is so sexy!!!! Although the beat sounds like that of Chris Brown's Take You Down and SM The Ballad's Hot Times, it still rocks my socks! Yunho's vocals really did improve, but I still prefer his voice way back their O-Jung Ban Hap days! As for Changmin, oh well, he will forever be the sonic scream machine of TVXQ. Dang, his vocal flexibilities are HUGE! *huggles*
The audio leaked out of the internet last March 12, when the actual release of the song was on March 14. Whoa, talk about wise Cassies doin' intelligence jobs. Haha.

The MV was well done, and I bet Yunho and Changmin are this generation's new breed of action stars and give the casts of Iris and Athena a run for their money. I died 5000000 times because of HoMin's action scenes. jkdfjdifhdfkhfdkfd /brb spazzing

Go Ara was in the video as well--it was nice seeing him with Yunho again after their stint in Yunho's 2009 drama Heading to the Ground. And the other guy, what's his name again? My memory gap strikes again. >< The storyline was great, and I demand it be made into a full-length drama or movie!!!

And oh, the MuBank and MuCore perfs of Before U Go totally pwned the hell out of me. Insanity struck my head the moment I watched it on YT. Yunho and his effin' dance moves killed me AGAIN. O_O It was so porn-star-ish OMGGGGGGGGGG dkfdlkjfglhjgkfhgfjkghfuireu /forever dying

Oh well, tough week ahead coming up. Wish me luck ^^ I will just keep on watching Before U Go to be inspired. *evil grin*

PS. My officemate beside me is spazzing about 2AM. ^^ Might as well try to catch them on their mall tours this April. YEY!! :D

So it's the time of the year again wherein Catholics flock to the church to have ashes placed in their foreheads---more commonly known as Ash Wednesday. For Catholics, this begins the Lenten season, which lasts for about 40 days. This is the season when Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross to redeem the sins of the world. Moreover, this is the season wherein many people give up a habit as a sacrifice.

I myself had this list of things to "give up" this Lent..

1. Avoid spending too much. Okay I think this is applicable to me all year round. Avoid conspicuous and impulsive buying especially in the fandom.
2. Don't eat meat on Fridays, or abstinence. This has been my practice since time immemorial.
3. Be good. I must really keep up with this one. I've been so naughty and stubborn lately.

I hope I get to do these things. *crosses fingers*

Oh yes. I'm back for my third post here. Been so busy lately that I almost forgot (again) that I have a blog to keep alive. Well, an online blog, that is. I've been keeping a planner, which is more of a journal, to write down what happens to me everyday. :D

Okay let me see. My last post was during TVXQ's7th year anniversary. Whoa. That's already 2months ago. Blame my pathetic internet connection for my incapacity to keep this blog updated. XD

What has happened to me in the past three months?? Let's have a rundown.

This is the return of the King!

Well good job on TVXQ's comeback as a duo, thank you for their explosive MV for Keep Your Head Down, which figuratively destroyed a lot of ovaries out there. Fierce dancing, charismatic rapping by Yunho (and Changmin too!), and Changmin's signature sonic scream reminiscent of Rising Sun and Mirotic really wowed the Cassies and the non-fans alike. Scary fanchants are scary during their performances in music shows, and those biceps and chest are just so nomnom-worthy. /forever spazzing

Along with the good things comes those bad ones. HoMin's being criticized by some fans for the lyrics of Keep Your Head Down--which is allegedly, about JYJ. Read on some lines:

"It's too late, you said you can't come back."
"Our love has ended, I've let you go, and now my heart is empty."
"Erased, disappeared, you've died in my heart and you no longer exist."

But SME (always the evil monster that he is) comes to the rescue and tells that this song is for a girl who betrayed a guy. Okay whatever. So thus ignited a series of (never ending) fanwars between HoMin fans and JYJ fans. Aissh.

On a positive note, I totally loved the track She. The 1st time I heard it last January 5, I was totally hooked. The melody is so addictive and the voices of HoMin are so soothing to the ears. And yes, there's the Honey Funny Bunny syndrome. Seriously, how better could Yunho get?? This song is way too sexy. I am really imagining how this song will be performed live. His voice improved a lot, and this song spells S-E-X. /dies

Enter JYJ's Music Room

How honest can this album get? I really admire JYJ for their exceptional talent in songwriting and composing. Nine is my personal favorite, thanks to the hidden OT5 message in it. *sniffs then sobs* I also like Fallen Leaves--so operatic! Must have been the effect of Junsu's frequent musical stints. And oh, Yoochun's A Song Without Name is like a nail piercing SME--it's basically a narration of Yoochun's life as a member of TVXQ, plus the sufferings he experienced during the time JYJ filed the lawsuit. Screw you forever, SME.

I salute you, Park Yoochun. You brave fellow. Rest assured you will have my respect and support forever. <3

Twitfight

This is where I started to get disappointed with some SME Artists. Whatever happened to their friendship with JYJ. Nah. I won't dwell on that matter anymore. I don't want to spoil my mood now. Haha.

Baker King + Dream High mania

Watching Korean dramas has always been our family's favorite bonding activity. Last January, we finished watching one of 2010's best dramas, The Baker King. We totally swooned over Kim Tak Gu's warm personality and cried along with him. The storyline was so intense, no wonder it became a hit. Kudos to the wonderful writer, the cast (Joo Won x Eugene tandem is love!), and the whole crew for job well done. ^^ I think we spent around 4 days to finish it.

And then there's Dream High. I'm quite worried that my mom or aunt won't like it since it's a school-type drama wherein the cast includes some of today's hottest KPOP stars like Suzi (Miss A), Taecyeon and Wooyoung (2PM), IU, Kim Suhyeon, and Eunjung (T-Ara). But I was wrong! They totally loved it and watched the episodes per week. JYP is one of the funniest guys I've seen in my whole KPOP fandom life! He should seriously continue acting coz he's super good at it. And yes, Kim Suhyeon aka Song Samdong is my new apple of the eye. /gets bricked by Yunho

Me and my friends also got to celebrate Valentines Day--the KPOP way ^^ We went to the KPOP Valentine Ball organized by the Philippine KPOP Committee last February 12. And what made it special is that I had to undergo an arduous rice-free diet and exercise for three weeks for my 2-year old graduation dress to fit.

FYI, I was so broke that time so I couldn't buy a new dress.
It was hell like! Imagine all the people in our home eating rice, while I just settled for tasteless wheat bread! GAAH. XD

Fortunately, my dress got to fit again ^^ *throws in confetti*

That's me wearing my purple and black dress in the center :)

And oh. Someone told me something that day. ^^ Never mind who he is :D Hehe

And yes. January and February are the birthday months of Jaejoong (Jan26), Yunho (Feb6), and Changmin (Feb18) <3 Did not get to trend in twitter, though. Don't worry, I still love you :)

AND THAT'S ITTTTT :) Basically those are just some of my insights on what happened during the past 2 months. ^^ There's a lot more, but I plan on keeping them for myself. *winks*

BY THE WAY, SINCE TODAY IS MARCH 9, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOOCHUN'S EQUALLY SMOKIN' HOT BROTHER, YOOHWAN :D
